Agreement
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. "The Liar," "we," and "us" refer to The Liar and its operators.
Not professional advice
The Liar explores difficult subjects — trauma, addiction, grief, shame, and mental health — through personal stories and conversation. Nothing on this website or in our podcast is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional or an appropriate support service in your area. If you are in crisis in the United States, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) at any time.
Our content
The content on this site — including text, the logo, images, audio, and design — belongs to The Liar or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may share links to our content freely. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Your submissions
If you send us a message — including a personal story — you keep ownership of it. By submitting, you give us permission to read and respond to it internally. We will not publish or publicly share your story without your explicit, separate permission. Please do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful to others.
Donations
Donations support our mission of honest conversations, recovery initiatives, trauma education, scholarships, films, and community building. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable. Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on our current nonprofit status and your circumstances; contact us if you need documentation.
Third-party links and services
This site links to and relies on third-party services (such as Formspree for our contact form and Cloudflare for hosting). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites and services.
